The TV series The Originals comes to the finale of the fourth season. Created by Julie Plec, the show was born as a spin-off to the The Vampire Diaries series. The backdoor pilot was in fact transmitted for the first time as the twentieth episode of the motherboard.
The fantasy genre series is set in the French neighborhood of New Orleans and tells stories of hybrid Niklaus Mikaelson (Joseph Morgan), his vampire brothers Elijah Mikoaelson (Daniel Gillies), Rebekah Mikaelson (Claire Holt) and the original witch, Freya Mikaelson (Riley Voelkel).
The epic power struggle for the city between Klaus and Marcel Gerard (Charles Michael Davis), the present King of New Orleans since the disappearance of the Mikaelson is very strong. The powerful hybrid grew in its image and likeness, but over time, as the original powerful says, “…an improved version.”

The Mikaelsons have been around world since the beginning of time. They are the original vampires, those who have seen, created and destroyed for a thousand years deadly and non-human beings. But what is it that makes the family of originals one soul?
A promise. Always and forever.
In this series, the lives of our beloved immortals have seen so much betrayal and resentment through their search for revenge and protection from the millenarian enemies who persecute this family, which has never separated itself. A moment. Did I ever say? I was wrong.
In this final episode, the family is united in a vicious circle of death, sorrow, and fidelity breaks that bonds they fought to keep together for the sake of the small tri-hybrid, Hope Mikaelson (Summer Fontana), daughter of Niklaus Mikaelson and Hayley Marshall (Phoebe Tonkin). The child became the target of an ancient entity this season, one which can not be defeated: The Hollow.
The Entity seeks to return to its human form through the sacrifice of small sorcerers until it can conquer and take possession of Hope’s body. The Mikaelsons will do all they can to save the baby, but Vincent Griffith (Yusuf Gatewood)’s only possible solution is to break the bond between the original brothers. But the powerful original hybrid king could not let the void threaten his princess.
Around the circle for the ritual, for the last time we hear Rebekah speak the phrase “Always and Forever.”
The original vampires separate, Elijah will be subjugated by Marcel to forget the brothers and do not pose a threat to little Hope, and saving Klaus from his perdition and cruelty. Rebekah will eventually reunite and live with Marcel, her great love. Hayley will try to protect Hope by returning to Mystic Falls where Alaric Salzman (Matthew Davis) and Caroline Forbes (Candice Accola) have founded a children’s school with supernatural powers.
But is the link really broken? Are the Original brothers really going to never see each other again? I do not think so. We just have to wait anxiously for next season and season five of The Originals.
